When you go to a smoke shop you should always know the basics about the glass work.  Most stores these days carry imported and American make glass pipes.  If you see something that is very cheap it's because it was made in another country.  We here at ILLUSIONS VAPE SMOKE SHOP do our best to know our glass blowers.  One of the American make glass companies that we support and sell is SOUR GLASS COMPANY.  They are from San Diego and have been in the smoke shop industry for 20 years.  The company has two master glass blowers who are the primary blowers for most of there glass WATERPIPES.

Dabbing is a great way to enhance your smoking experience, if you want to take your smoking to a whole new level. Patients that have been smoking for quite some time now, find that smoking still gives them that euphoria or calmness they are looking for but at times need to smoke more product or smoke more frequent throughout their day. The smoking community has invented something that is so powerful and unique, not many understand it. Dabbing, Waxing or whatever you call it is a the concentrated form of your favorite plant or as I like to call it " WackyTabacky". Dabbing is so succulent and magnificent not a lot of people know how to handle the experience and find it perplexing because they take too big of a hit or not the correct vape or glass utensil. My personal favorite way of dabbing is with my Sour 10 mm Oil Rig. In my humble opinion the smaller the rig the better it hits and the the longer the titanium nail stays hot and the more hits you can take! The time I took the biggest hit, I got sick to my stomach, I was thinking it was just like smoking plant but it totally isn't, it is a stronger, more powerful, richer and a totally unique. Nurturing in ever aspect possible dabbing is eloquent and amazing, I really suggest you try it!

Dabbing Cup

As we all know dabbing is a pretty intense experience and something that we all have to try.  There are a number of methods and all kinds of glassware to use.  My usual preference is a Sour Glass dabbing pipe.  What I have been using is the New sour Glass Mini Bee Dab piece.  Sour Glass in made here in Illusions Vape Smoke Shops home town of San Diego.  These new dab rigs are miniatures and made from black glass.  They have a Bee attached and are so cool.  They are the perfect mini dab piece.  Mine sits about five inches high and has three barrel rings with a bubble on the bottom.  This piece is a 10mm so what I did was add a quartz sour glass dome-less nail..  I also use a titanium domeless, but really like the qwuartz one.  The titanium dome-less does look very nice against the black of the piece.  Although I am in love with this piece I have found another that I think is going to be the standard in the Vape Smoke Shop industry.  The name of this piece is the Dabaccino cup dab piece By Evol Glass.  It looks just like your frappacino cup from Starbucks coffee.  The piece is entirely clear with a glass piece that looks like a straw sticking out of it.  It has a male piece sticking out of the top of the cup that fits  a 10mm female domless nail or Dome.  This Dabaccino Cup sits about 6 inchs and is fast becoming my favorite.  The main reason that I find this Dab piece amazing is that you can see everything  that is going on inside and allow for the smoke to fill the glass.  Then its a quick pull from the "straw" to clear.  Its just as easy if not easier then drinking out of a starbucks cup.

Percolators

A lot of people wonder about the different percolators used in water pipes and if they make much of a difference, and if so which one is the best? The answer to these questions are Yes they make a difference, and there are so many different styles to choose from it really depends on what you're looking for.

 Essentially what a Percolator does is adds an extra filter so that you have a smoother cooler hit. How it works is the smoke passes through the water into the diffuser causing the filtration while also breaking up the smoke with small water bubbles making the smoke disperse evenly into your lungs, while also cooling it at the same time. 

 There are many different styles to choose from, and they continue to make different styles. Their the Tree style ones. These one have arms that come down looking similar to a tree, thus the name "Tree Perk" there can be as little as 3 of the arms all the way to 25. The arms have slits in the bottom that work as a diffuser, the more arms the more diffusion. These ones do make for a very smooth hit but are a bitch to keep clean! So if your are planning on getting one of these styles please practice regular cleaning and maintenance on it! There's also one known as a Dome Perk. The names are very self explanatory when it comes to the perks. It's called a dome as it is a Dome shape.Dome styles are good because they can be used in a lot of different ways. They can have holes along the bottom or slits. The cuts in these makes a difference in how the bubbles are broken up, which makes different types of hits.

 All in all I do recommend every smoker have a water pipe with a Percolator. Knowing what kind is for you requires research and experience. You can have the employees at the shop put some water in for you so you can get a feel of how the water runs though when you suck on it.

Ok, So how many of you have dropped a few Benjamins on a nice ass piece, and not too long later you drop it or knock it over and you feel like you just lost a family member!? Well this has happened to me to many times, not only with my water pipes but my pipes and bubblers too! Eventually I learned to PROTECT MY GLASS with a simple padded case that go from $7-$30.  Some breaks are repairable thankfully, but it's cheaper to just get the case so you never have to take your baby to the repair doctor!

 These cases are amazing too! they have little stash pockets on the inside seam. And they have  a strap for the bigger pieces so you can take them anywhere with you without the worry of breaking them. They also hide the smell which is awesome for the pipe i keep in my car. 
 

It has now become part of my routine to put my baby back in her case after i am done with her. I know she loves me more for making sure she is safe! So be good to yours and keep them safe.
